Niveditha Chittiprolu – Young Artist
Welcome back to another feature for our Artist Spotlight series. Today, we’ll be talking all about one of our Little artists – Niveditha Chittiprolu. She started learning from Nimmy’s online classes when she was only four and a half.
Last year, she started showing interest in art learning from Nimmy’s free lessons on Nimmy’s Art YouTube Channel. Now, she’s five years old and one of our youngest artists in the Artist Spotlight.
How often do you draw?
“Everyday!, one video she will draw.”
We asked her mom and Niveditha also has online classes for English, Math, and piano lessons. However, even with her busy schedule, she always finds the time to practice her drawing every day.
Do you have your best time to draw?
“Whenever she wants to pick something out.”
She doesn’t necessarily sketch or draw every day. Sometimes, she colors a drawing book with oil pastels or picks out one of the pages from Nimmy’s Academy. Whenever she has trouble, she never hesitates to ask for help.
What is your favorite medium in our art class?
“Acrylic, it’s easy to blend!.”
Her fondness for acrylic paint comes from her interest in blending colors on paper. Her mom said she will practice the shapes and colors two to three times until she does the main painting on canvas or paper.
At such a young age, she wants to explore more about what shapes and colors offer.
From all of your artworks, do you have your favorite?
“Peppa Pig!”
Without hesitation, she immediately claims her Peppa Pig artwork as her favorite. Here she shows us her creativity with colors in her favorite artwork.
How do you feel about learning art online with Ms. Nimmy?
“Normally for Live Class I need to be there and help her by listening to Nimmy to guide her with colors and what’s the next steps. Replays are very very good! She can choose not to finish the class video the first time. However, tomorrow she’ll hop right back in to finish the remainder of the video.”
Online classes for kids often have trouble keeping their attention. However, with Niveditha and Nimmy’s online video lessons, there is no problem at all. Kids can choose to press pause, take a break, ask for help, and then press play.
With 2 modes of learning, Kids are loving their art class through Online Live classes and Video Only.
What other hobbies do you have?
“Crafting or paper crafting”
Niveditha also likes to do paper crafting. She learned it when she’s 3 and a half years old. Since her preschool taught her to make figures by cutting paper, she can now make her papercraft butterflies as another hobby.
If you will draw today, what do you want to draw?
“Elsa!”
Her imagination doesn’t know any limits. Whenever she’s with friends, she’ll try to draw their pictures. Sometimes, she’ll even draw the sun, the moon, and the clouds and play area, like they’re playing with each other.
What would you love to be in the future?
“Elsa! Doctor!”
When we first asked Niveditha what she wanted to be in the future, she instantly chose to be Elsa. No doubt girls love to be princesses! In the end, she said she wants to be a doctor in the future because they help people.
If you become an art teacher, what would you teach to your students?
“Art! I would teach them acrylic!”
With her love for acrylic painting, she will march on into the world to teach more people about her favorite medium for art.
What tips or advice do you want to give to other kids like you who want to learn painting?
“To put the dots and dots and how to draw a Witch from Halloween and butterflies.”
Nivedita means she wants to teach other kids about the pointillism technique they learned from Nimmy’s Online Art Class. With her bright mind and an amazing imagination, Niveditha is another little artist that steps into the Artist Spotlight with a smile.
Niveditha is already showcasing her talents and interest in arts and crafts at a very young age! We are proud that we have her as our student! With the continued support of her parents, she can be a great artist in the future.
Stay tuned for our next artist spotlight.
